With how many different essential oils there are, there is an oil to help with almost any issue. Lately I have been using essential oils every day to help with anxiety and sleep and have felt a lot of benefit from it, so I wanted to share with you my top 3 essential oils for daily use!
- Frankincense: I use a roller applicator with frankincense every day to help with reducing stress and negative emotions. Studies have found that when frankincense is inhaled, it can lower heart rate and blood pressure, as well as reduce feelings of anxiety and depression. Frankincense can also help prevent illness, fight germs and bacteria, promote digestion, reduce respiratory issues, decrease inflammation, and even help fight off cancer.
- Lavender: This oil goes in my diffuser every night to help reduce stress and to promote a restful night sleep. In clinical studies, participants who made a habit of applying lavender oil to their pillows before bed were shown to have improvement in their sleeping patters. It has also been helpful in reducing pain from menstrual cramps.
- Peppermint: While lavender oil goes in the diffuser at bedtime, during the day I have peppermint oil diffusing in the house. Peppermint oil has been shown to help keep you awake and can increase alertness by as much as 30%. It has also been shown to be beneficial in alleviating headaches, indigestion, abdominal pain associated with irritable bowel syndrome, and even hair loss.
